The New York Times takes a look at Bao Ngyuen’s (MFA 2011 Social Documentary Film) Netflix documentary chronicling the writing and recording of “We Are The World,” the 1980s charity single that featured an ensemble of pop superstars.

A new exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art featuring work by Black artists who captured modern life in Harlem and cities nationwide as African Americans began to move away from the segregated rural South in the 1920s – ’40s. Admissions is looking for energetic and responsible students to help host Accepted Students Day 2024. Student workers will be tasked with greeting guests and giving campus tours on Saturday, April 6, from 8:30am – 5:30pm. Paid mandatory training included. Sign up here by Friday, March 8.

The New York Climate Film Festival is seeking submissions for their inaugural multi-day event uniting filmmakers and climate advocates in the realm of climate storytelling. The submission deadline is Monday, June 3. Open to seasoned and budding filmmakers. The festival will take place from Friday, September 20 – Sunday, September 22, in New York City, coinciding with the opening weekend of Climate Week. Volunteers are needed, as well as members for a student steering committee.
