MPS Branding Chair Debbie Millman talks with The New York Times about Bloomingdale’s iconic Big Brown Bag shopping bag, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

MPS Art Therapy presents Jordan Potash, Ph.D., ATR-BC, REAT, LCPAT (MD), for this year’s Valery Daniels Memorial Lecture, “Art Therapists as Peacebuilders,” exploring ways in which art therapists can support peace-building in their practices. Tonight, September 18, 6:00 – 8:00pm, online.

Today is Constitution Day, a day of federal observance which commemorates the day in 1787 when the U.S. Constitution was signed at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. To learn more about the U.S. Constitution visit the U.S. Senate website, or pick up a free pocket-sized edition at SVA Student Affairs, 340 East 24th Street.

All interested students are welcome to join certified yoga instructor Nurse Emily from SVA Student Health and Counseling Services for an hour of Vinyasa-based yoga. All levels are welcome. Thursday – Sunday | After School Special

SVA Theatre presents the College’s annual alumni film and animation festival. Events include screenings, premieres and Q&As with industry insiders that offer behind-the-scenes looks at the world of television and cinema. SVA alumni will be present at Q&As throughout the week.
