#SVAWESOME

Scenes from the final week of SVA Destination’s Design West summer program in scenic Letterfrack, Ireland. The week kicked off with a presentation by SVA BFA Design faculty members and Pentagram Design associates Brankica Harvey and Ken Deegan and a “Culture Meets Business” talk in Galway city by BFA Advertising and BFA Design Chair Gail Anderson (BFA 1984 Media Arts). These events were followed by busy days as students developed and finalized projects. Students enjoyed full use of Atlantic Technological University’s state-of-the-art technology and workshops to print, laser cut, build, weave, braid, sculpt, print Risographs and much more, while preparing for a final pop-up exhibition on the final day. Kudos to the hardworking cohort and many thanks to Design West co-founder Conor Clarke, faculty professionals, the crew at ATU and citizens of Letterfrack! Stay tuned for a full recap of the program on sva.edu. Via @svanyc.
