As some of you may be aware, an organization known as womenstrikeus.org has planned several actions aimed at protesting the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. In particular, the organization is planning a walkout/strike on Thursday, October 4. SVA students have seized upon this movement and are promoting it on campus.

Participating students are asked to meet at 4 PM in front of the Main Building at 209 East 23 Street.  At 4:30 PM participants will march to Trump Tower in Midtown for a rally at 5:00 PM.

SVA respects the freedom of expression of its students, faculty and staff.  And to that end, faculty are asked to please not penalize any student who wishes to participate in this march and rally.
