On behalf of SVA IT, we are sending this email to inform you of the services that you will soon lose access to now that you have graduated (or are soon to graduate) from SVA, as well as the services that you will maintain access to as an alumnus.

Extended access to the following SVA-hosted services ends August 31, 2023:

• Google Drive

• Adobe Creative Cloud

• SVA Library Databases

• The class of 2023 also has access to the Main Library (380 Second Avenue) until August 31, 2023.

• Microsoft 365 — Office, OneDrive

Post-graduation you must remove all your content from Google Drive, Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 OneDrive before the August 31 deadline. All data hosted on those platforms will be purged after August 31. Data recovery and extended access after the deadline are not available options.

After August 31, 2023, you will continue to have access to these services via SVA MyID: 

• Google Email and Google Calendar

• Box.com – See details below

• MyServices

• TouchNet Student Accounts

• Canvas LMS

Box.com details: Alumni from the class of 2023 are the first class to receive one year of access to unlimited cloud storage on Box following graduation. See below for information about accessing your SVA Box.com Premium account. You will find a tile for Box on your MyID dashboard that links to your account.

Access to cloud storage on Box will end one year following your graduation. SVA has three graduation periods. Please see the list below for annual end dates for access to Box.com.

• Spring (May graduation) -> May 1st of the following year extended access to Box.com concludes. A reminder email will be sent on April 1st. 

• Fall (September graduation) -> Sept 1st of the following year extended access to Box.com concludes. A reminder email will be sent on August 1st. 

• Winter (February graduation) -> Feb 1st of the following year extended access to Box.com concludes. A reminder email will be sent on January 1st. 

All data hosted on Box will be purged following the respective 5/1, 9/1, and 2/1 end dates. Prior to that deadline, your content must be migrated from your SVA Box account to another cloud service, a paid personal Box account, or a local storage device. Data recovery and extended access are not available options.

Alumni are not allowed access to campus unless explicit permission has been granted and a special arrangement has been coordinated with a specific department. Alumni will need to sign in using the SPLAN system and show photo ID in order to enter any SVA building.

Important: For anyone who does not graduate, services will cease after 8/31, including Box.com.
